How to Add a Property Virtual Tour to Your Website

Put the tour beside the property information people already read. You can use a clear link, or embed the published viewer when your website editor supports an iframe.

Choose a link or an inline tour

A link is the simplest option: add a button labeled Explore the 360 tour to your property page. The visitor opens the hosted tour with its full viewing space. An inline embed displays the tour within your page, so the visitor can explore alongside the description and photos.

For either method, include a visible text link to the full tour. It gives visitors another way to open the experience if the embedded area is small or their browser blocks it. Keep the normal property description and contact route on the page; an iframe is not a substitute for useful written content.

Get the published link and embed code from Houses360

  1. Open your tour editor Sign in, choose the property, and review its scenes and details.
  2. Publish the tour Public link copying, QR downloads, and embed copying are disabled while a tour is unpublished. Do not embed the temporary preview URL.
  3. Open the Share tab In the tour editor, choose Share to find Share links and the Embed section.
  4. Copy the appropriate address A friendly URL is readable. The Permanent ID URL is useful when you want an address that does not depend on a friendly slug.
  5. Copy the responsive embed Copy the complete snippet from the Embed section. Check its iframe address; the generated snippet may use the friendly URL. Use the Permanent ID URL if you need the embed to survive a friendly-slug change.
  6. Open the URL outside your account Test it in a signed-out window. Confirm the intended audience can view it and that it is not a draft or temporary preview.

What a responsive embed looks like

This code example uses the existing illustrative Main Street tour. Replace the address and title with your own published property. It is shown as text so you can inspect it; it does not automatically publish anything to your website.

The iframe needs a descriptive title, a useful height, and permission for fullscreen viewing. The surrounding box below preserves a 16:9 shape and caps the width at the available space. Keep a separate link beneath the viewer.

<div style="position:relative;aspect-ratio:16/9;width:100%;">
  <iframe src="https://houses360.com/1234-main-street-spokane-wa-99208"
    title="Explore the Main Street sample property"
    style="position:absolute;inset:0;width:100%;height:100%;border:0;"
    allowfullscreen loading="lazy"></iframe>
</div>
<p><a href="https://houses360.com/1234-main-street-spokane-wa-99208">Open the full 360 tour</a></p>

Add it in your website editor

For a link, edit the property page, add a button or text link, paste the published address, and save. For an embed, find the editor's HTML or embed-code control, paste the complete iframe snippet, preview it, and publish the website page when it is ready.

On WordPress.com, the Custom HTML block accepts iframe code only when the required paid plan and hosting features are active, according to its current documentation. A standard Embed block is not guaranteed to recognize a Houses360 URL. If the iframe disappears after saving, check the plan and editor restrictions or use a normal link.

In Google Sites, use Insert, then Embed. You can enter a URL, or choose Embed code for the full snippet, then insert it and publish the site. Google notes that some websites disallow embedding. Houses360's public viewer is designed for embedding, but the destination website can still impose its own restrictions.

Troubleshoot the finished property page

Symptom Likely check Next action
HTML is printed as text Code pasted into a paragraph block. Use an HTML or embed-code block.
Iframe disappears after saving Editor permissions or plan restrictions. Check the builder documentation; use a public link if code is not supported.
Viewer is blank Wrong address, visibility, or website security policy. Open the iframe URL directly, then have the site administrator inspect frame restrictions if it works alone.
Tour opens only for the owner Draft, temporary preview, or protected visibility. Use the intended published public link and retest while signed out.
Page is too wide on a phone Fixed iframe dimensions or theme constraints. Use a responsive wrapper and check the real published page.
An old embed stops opening Friendly URL changed or tour archived. Confirm publication and replace the iframe source with the current permanent link when appropriate.

Check the real page before sharing it

Website embedding and MLS link submission are different workflows. An MLS field may accept only a URL and may require an unbranded version. Check its specific requirements before copying HTML or a branded link into a listing system.

  • Open the published website page on desktop and phone while signed out.
  • Move through every scene and try fullscreen and the separate tour link.
  • Check property facts, room names, and the contact route.
  • Confirm the embedded area does not hide the page navigation or run beyond the screen.
  • Recheck after changing the tour URL, visibility, or published status.
FAQ

Common questions

No. A normal button or text link to the published tour works without an iframe. Use embed code when the website supports it and inline viewing helps the visitor.

The tour must be published before public links, QR downloads, and embed copying are available. A temporary draft preview is for review, not a permanent website embed.

Use the Permanent ID URL when you need an address independent of a friendly slug. Also keep the tour published and visible to the intended audience.
